Preparing a Powerful!!! Biblical-Prayer-Petition
Preparing a Powerful! Biblical-Prayer-Petition
Recently on a prayer walk, the Holy Spirit conveyed to me a powerful revelation about the imagination. He showed me how Satan always deploys an imagination with a thought, which greatly enhances his psychological attacks against our soul, the soul being the mind, emotions and will. His mode of operation is to always bandwidth a thought which comes against the “knowledge of God,” with an imagination.
“One picture is worth a thousand words.”

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
2 Corinthians 10:4-6 KJV
Satan, for example, will deploy a thought of fear about being unable to pay an unexpected bill that came in. Following that thought, he will send a visual imagining of not being able to pay the rent and car payment, which will lead to a bad credit score, which will lead to not being able to qualify for another apartment after the lease is up, which will lead to being homeless on the streets.
Satan knows how to put together a powerful multimedia movie trailer of your life in your mind. Just like Hollywood intends, if you watch the trailer enough, you’re going to want to watch the movie. Watching Satan’s unauthorized fictional documentary of your life will put you into his theatre of horror.
Neuroscientists have learned that the subconscious mind cannot differentiate between fact or fiction. This is why we can go into a movie theater, knowing we are about to see a fictional movie, but still experience a wide variety of emotions during the theatrical experience.
For example, people will cry during a sad scene, be terrified during a stalking scene, and feel overwhelmed with joy and excitement when watching a victory unfold before their eyes.
Though these emotions are based on fiction, our brains will release the same chemistry in our body, whether good or bad, as if they were real experiences.
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Joshua 1:8
Before filling out the Biblical Prayer Meditation Form, it is vital to make sure the heart is clean. Without a good foundation this exercise will be ineffective and could be spiritually detrimental. If the heart is not clean, one could pick up a false translation of an utterance through an evil spirit. This is why scripture tells us, “Don’t give place to the devil.” Ephesians 4:27.
Read what David’s petition was to God after he had committed adultery with Bathsheba, then had her husband killed.
1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.
5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8 Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Psalm 51:1-10
The following is a spiritual exercise, which I titled The Three-Point Heart Check-Up. From the natural realm, we can’t search the deeper parts of our heart, only God, the Holy Spirit can.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Romans 8:27
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
1 Corinthians 2:10-16
As we see in verse 10, God’s word states “for the Spirit searcheth all things.” This is vital because if we go before the throne with unrepented iniquity in our heart, God will turn away from us.
But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
Isaiah 59:2
Out of the Father’s love, mercy and grace for us, He sent His Holy Spirit to be our counselor. The Holy Spirit is our court-provided legal counselor, which searches our heart thoroughly for any present and past spiritual crimes we have committed, such as;un-forgiveness, pride, uncasted cares, etc…, which Satan is holding against us. Scripture tells us that Satan is our accuser day and night (Revelation 12:10).
Satan is constantly seeking legal right to attack, based on sin, which can give Satan legal right to attack.
This is another reason why God’s Word tells us not to give place to the devil (Ephesians 4:27).
We serve a loving God and Judge, who is ready to forgive the one with a sincere, repented heart.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9
It’s vital that we have no un-forgiveness, in that God’s Word tells us that if we don’t forgive, God will not forgive us.
25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
Mark 11:25
Another big hindrance to prayers is holding on to uncasted cares. God’s Word tells us that holding on to the cares of the world, will literally choke God’s Word out of our heart.
19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
Mark 4:19
We are directed in 1 Peter 5:9 to cast all our cares to God, because He cares for us. When a Christian individual chooses to hold on to their worrisome cares, other than cast them, or they become consumed with loving the world system, they can become infected or tainted with sin and doubt. They become double-minded, embracing two mental paradigms, consisting of the carnal mind, and the mind of Christ, which are at constant war against each other(Romans 8:7). God’s Word conveys that the double-minded individual should not expect anything from God’s Kingdom.
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not, and it shall be given him.
6 But let him ask in faith, never wavering; for he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord.
8 A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.
James 1:5-8
Now with that being said, let’s move to the 3-Point Heart Check-Up, in this process, we are asking the Holy Spirit to search our heart for the following:
1. Unrepented Sin
2. Unforgiveness
3. Uncasted Cares
After you petition God’s throne to search your heart, be still (Psalm 46:10) and wait for the Holy Spirit to establish your thoughts (Proverbs 16:3).
Remember it’s key to have the Holy Spirit take over the entire prayer session.
Jesus our Savior modeled perfectly for us. He stated in John 14:10
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of Myself; but the Father that dwelleth in Me, He doeth the works.
How is this possible? Through the Holy Spirit praying through us:
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities; for we know not what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Romans 8:26
38 He that believeth in Me, as the Scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”
John 7:38
19 And pray for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the Gospel,
Ephesians 6:19
So allow the utterance of the Holy Spirit to establish your thoughts and imaginations for this prayer petition. As you meditate on it over and over, it will download from your mind into your Spirit, which creates the spiritual atomic power you will need against the kingdom of satan. Remember “it’s not by power nor by might, but by the Spirit of God” (Zechariah 4:9).
God Bless
